Large tree of Bignoniaceae family.

Long white ‘trumpet’ flowers are far up on the tree, and some were on the ground.
See long ‘curly’ seedpods and pinnately compound leaves.
Best match: Stereospermum , or Radermachera
probably Stereospermum fimbriatum – ‘The snake tree’.
Look at the seedpods – they are really look like a snakes, but flowers are a bit different.

So,more likely it is Radermachera sinica
synonym: Stereospermum sinicum
Common names: – "China Doll", "Serpent Tree" or "Emerald Tree".
Native to Asia
Its Dwarf variations "Asian Bell Tree" is popular as indoor plant..

(later: I bought a pot with a nice plant labelled as ‘China Doll’)

Location: Tamborine, South QLD, Australia (not in the rainforest)

Stunning flowering tree -
Typical view in Melbourne suburban this time of the year (late winter – spring)
So lovely!

I believe it is Magnolia x soulangeana – hybrid M. denudata X M. lilliflora

The Saucer Magnolia Magnolia x soulangeana was bred about 200 years ago by a Frenchman, and now there are hundreds of cultivars that have resulted from this initial hybrid, with Magnolia x soulangeana ‘Rustica Rubra’ being one of the most popular. It has masses of flowers and ornamental zigzag stems that hold the upright flowers, and will tolerate slightly alkaline soils. The Lily-flowered Magnolia Magnolia liliiflora cv. has brilliant royal purple flowers and can develop the propensity to layer under certain conditions. (Gardening Australia)

Location: Melbourne suburban, Australia

I took this one right in front of my school. I would like it even better without the shadow of the other tree.

This is a close-up of the flowers on the tree below. It’s a New Zealand native, but its name is unknown to me.
